Portrait Works in Progress

  1. Love the contrast of the orange wall! I would try playing around with getting rid of the blue cast on the cat photo. Great job on the first two recreations. They are very similar to the original! :)

  2. Very interesting photos. The film stills are very creative. I think they are very good and done well. I think that the mirror photos still need some development. What category does the cat fit into?

  3. I like the first of the 2 orange images the best. I think the 2nd person really adds something to the composition. You did an awesome job on the clockwork orange photo, especially considering the first image is a cartoon. I really wouldn't change anything about it.

  4. Honestly I kinda like the cat...

But the clockwork orange photo, I think you need to find a font closer to the original for the type at the top. Also I think it might be more interesting if you changed a few things around instead of doing an exact reproduction. Maybe change around what the type says, turn the film into something else. Use that form but inject it with your own relating but contrasting content.

  5. I liked the second mirror photo at first, but after looking at it more i started to like the top one. I like that it has two subjects in it and not just one.I also like the the first picture alot.I think if you just play with the curves a little more it will be right on!

  6. for the clockwork orange image, try to lighten the face and eye of the big character. otherwise, great.
to get the same coloration of the first film still, you might add a bit of orange and remove magenta. also, brighten the eyes and teeth. your top film still is interesting because your character is humorous and zany and crazy so it takes the image in a new direction.
